Manager, Computer Services Unit (CSU)
The Manager of the Computer Support Unit is responsible for managing the student computing facilities for the School of Biological Sciences and the School of Chemistry, Physics and Earth Sciences. In addition, the manager is responsible for the Faculty Office and the School of Chemistry, Physics and Earth Sciences network.

Key Responsibilities
Developing and implementing plans, policies and procedures for the unit which support the objectives of the Faculty;
- Identifying and purchasing ICT hardware and software
- Maintaining records of ICT assets
- Managing and monitoring work requests and priorities
- Promoting the services of the unit
- Monitoring, reviewing and improving the unit’s services
- Designing and implementing a computing environment where client systems integrate into the university’s network to provide effective outcomes for users
- Providing advice and information about computer mediated learning to the Executive Dean, Faculty/University staff, and to groups, individuals and organisations outside the Faculty
- Establishing, implementing and reviewing short and long term security objectives
