Lasers and Chemical Dynamics
An assortment of lasers, spectrometers and associated equipment are used to probe fast gas phase reactions and other spectroscopic studies. Some equipment includes : Argon ion laser (Spectra Physics 2045), Ring dye laser (Spectra Physics 380D), Excimer laser (Questek 2220), three Nd:YAG lasers (Spectra Physics GCR 12, Spectra Physics 170-10, Continuum Surelite II), three Pulsed dye lasers with doubling units (Lambda Physik 2003, two Lambda Physik Scanmate), three supersonic free jet expansion systems, including two Time of flight mass spectrometers, one with ion imaging capability, 4.2m Czerny Turner spectrometer.
