Biography

Jaime at fieldwork

My research interests are in environmental aquaculture, integrated farming system, aquaculture policy and legislation frameworks.

Now I am having a PhD project in integrated farming system. This study focuses to utilize nutrients in effluent and produce useable aquaculture products through food web manipulation. The key manipulated food chain is to use algae to absorb nutrients in the tertiary wastewater treatment, feed the zooplankton with algae, and finally turn zooplankton into aquaculture commercial products.
