Biography/Research Project
Throughout my high school years I developed a
keen interest in science, particularly biology. I extended my
studies by enrolling in the Bachelor of Biotechnology degree at
Flinders University, discovering that there was much more to science
than biology, chemistry and physics. The degree progressed through
all aspects of biotechnology from environmental and agricultural to
medical biotechnology, however it was clear to me by the end of my
third year that my interests remained in biological sciences. During
my honours year I began investigating alternative respiratory
pathways. I have since commenced a PhD project in the School of
Biological Sciences in the aim of characterising the alternative
respiratory pathway of Arabidopsis thaliana.
