Credit Transfer

What is credit transfer?

Credit transfer is a process which allows students to seek recognition for prior studies. In some cases it may be possible to gain credit for learning acquired in other situations (e.g. employment experience). It is also known as exemption, status, recognition for prior learning, and advanced standing.

Why apply for credit transfer?

If you are eligible for credit transfer the length of time taken to complete your studies at Flinders may decrease.

When do I apply?

If you have applied for admission to a course at Flinders, you can apply for credit in that course. You should lodge your application no later than two weeks prior to the commencement of the relevant semester/teaching period, otherwise you may not be able to finalise your enrolment by the last day to enrol.

How do I apply?

You should refer to the Flinders University Credit Transfer website for further details, and to download the Credit Transfer application form (PDF format).

Please lodge your application with any supporting documentation, either in person or by mail to the:

Faculty Office
Faculty of Science and Engineering
GPO Box 2100
ADELAIDE  SA  5001

Office: 1st floor, Physical Sciences building (bldg 54)

NOTE: Eligibility for credit does not guarantee admission to a course at Flinders University.
